Nanai village

Ecological Tourist Complex "WELCOME", located on the picturesque bank of the Amur River in the Sikachi-Alian outskirts, offers you a breathtaking one-day experience not to be missed.
On excursion around WELCOME Complex Museum you'll get to know many historical facts about the origination and evolution of aboriginal Amur population, its cultural heritage. The display of museum exhibits starts with archeological collections made up of early and recent excavations either kindly offered by the locals or obtained during the field trips.
Cradled under the towering trees is the museum of abodes samples. And in the impenetrable thick of the oak grove one can come across detached and stranded wooden idols, right at the place where shamans launch into all pervasive ritual dances begging the spirits for fortune and luck. Here opens a nice view upon a Nanai mansion, composed from "fanza", resembling one of a Chinese kind, and a barn, stuffed with dried fish supplies.
To fully sense the Nanai culture a folk ensemble will perform for esteemed guests such rituals such as the fire feeding rite, the evil spirits cleansing rite combined with folk songs and dances.
The second part of excursion Petroglyphs, situated around WELCOME Complex, belong to historical pieces of art. Here one can see basalt boulders embroidered with diverse "drawings", simple and unpretentious in their delicate execution, featuring birds, animals and facial images.
The most ancient of them date back to 12,000 B.C.
The third part of excursion around the WELCOME Complex features an "ecological path", that offers a unique opportunity to take a look at the most interesting and rare specimens of the Far Eastern nature. Over 1500 flora species were defined in the outskirts of Sikachi-Alian.
After an educating tour around the WELCOME Complex guests are offered to enjoy a traditional Far Eastern meal. National dining options are presented by exquisitely cooked sturgeon, rudd, sazan and other kind of fish. A plate of delicious "ukha" - original Russian fish soup with a bit of vodka added to bring out the flavor, and hot smoked fish, angled just several hours ago from the Amur River, will put a nice final touch to the unforgettable experience of spending a day in the very heart of Khabarovsk region.
